My Favorite Oyster Shooter

~I worked on the Seattle Waterfront for a number of summers in my youth. I was introduced to the oyster shooter at Salmon Cooker. It was and remains my favorite way of oyster shooters.

















Ingredients:
2 fresh shucked small oysters
1 tsp ketchup
1 lemon wedge
splash of Tabasco
¼ cup Red Hook ESB

Directions:
  1. Lightly rinse oysters with cold water to ensure all shell bits are gone. Place oysters into a small glass.
  2. Add horseradish, ketchup, lemon juice, and Tabasco. Pour beer over contents and enjoy.
