Kitchen Tip: Roasted Garlic

~Roasted garlic is one of those items you will rarely run out of recipes for. Whether it's pasta, mashed potatoes, or a soup base- it is a veritable time saver to have on hand for instant flavor. The roasted garlic is a bit sweeter and more mellow, compared to raw garlic.  If you have a nice baguette, drizzle even more olive oil into the garlic. Once the garlic is done roasting, pour out what is now a wonderfully aromatic olive oil in small bowl and add a splash of Modena balsamic vinegar.

Ingredient:
garlic bulb
olive oil

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut top 1/4" off garlic head, lay garlic on foil, drizzle in olive oil, roast for 30min or until very soft.
  3. Squeeze garlic from head and set aside for use.
